Arlington Family Photographer

As an Arlington family photographer, I love having the opportunity to try out stunning new photo locations on occasion with clients. While the vast majority of my sessions take place indoors versus outdoors, I do offer both in the studio and on location sessions. Whether you prefer in your home or a beautiful outdoor location my goal is always to capture the location that suits your family’s current needs best!

Airlie Gardens with The Worner Family

Airlie Gardens is such a great photo location because it’s quiet but offers gorgeous architecture, open fields, gardens, and stone pathways. It’s popular as a wedding and engagement location, which also made it perfect for this Arlington maternity session!

It’s everything you could ever dream of as a Northern Virginia maternity photographer, and it offers so much variety and great spaces to chase the best light! I had the best time finding all the best spots with these two! I loved the variety we were able to create throughout their gallery.

I was thrilled to meet up with this sweet couple to celebrate the upcoming arrival of their baby girl. I loved how visible the joy was throughout this session and that you could tell just how smitten they were already with their little one. They also did a stellar job with their wardrobe for the occasion and location!

I’m so excited to see them soon to photograph their precious new addition!

A Note on Choosing Your Location from an Arlington Family Photographer

If you’re contemplating an outdoor maternity session here in Arlington, here are a few things to consider!

First, you’ll want to choose a location that feels like a good fit for both your aesthetic and personality. While a beautiful monument might be perfect for photos, there might be better choices if you’re not into PDA.

You’ll also want to consider whether or not a permit is required. Busy, high-traffic areas often have restrictions on where you are allowed to take photos. It’s a good idea to do a bit of research on the front end to ensure we don’t need to jump through extra hoops on the day of your session!

What The Clients Are Saying

We had the absolute best experience during our maternity and newborn photoshoots with Emily! She is not only amazingly talented, but also such a sweet person and an absolute joy to work with! We felt so comfortable and at ease at each session and also had a bunch of fun. I especially appreciated the wardrobe she has available for the sessions because it was one less thing to think about as a new mama. She truly thinks of everything and is a baby whisperer as well! The photos perfectly capture this new season of life for us and we will cherish them for years to come!
