From beautiful Gainesville, Virginia

Capturing the natural beauty of motherhood from the moment you feel those first flutters in your belly to the excitement of bringing home your new baby. My studio is in Gainesville, Virginia, but home has always been wherever my favorite people are...most days that’s with my hubby and our twin toddlers, Henry and Eloise.

I capture your family’s love story.

from the moment it first began

From the fleeting, sacred moments before, after and during the miracle of birth

The Experience

Meet Emily

My natural light studio was created to bring a relaxed portrait experience to my families. The connection between a parent and their child is at the heart of my imagery, so I built a place where you could experience this together, distraction-free, focused on the love you share with your baby.

Miraculous, raw and each one different, birth stories are told with utter honesty, preserving the beauty of this unmatched moment in time.

The beauty of a new beginning..

Focused on the connection and love you have for your little one, maternity sessions are designed to capture the intimate relationship that motherhood brings.

A love unlike any other..

So, how can I help you?

With each passing day, you notice the changes in your baby’s features. Relaxed, studio baby sessions are meant to preserve each dimpled fist and wispy curl so that you never struggle to remember just how precious they were.

Moments meant to be lived in.

Our favorite moments are usually the ones you aren’t looking at the camera for. They are nights spent with friends and family playing board games, and ice cream cones with extra sprinkles. They are Saturday morning donuts and a second cup of coffee while cuddling on the couch...moments that capture something real, moments that tell your family’s story.

Not just a memory.

From the moment I held my babies to my chest, photography became more than just photos to me; they became a physical connection to a moment that was already gone. Days that seemed to tumble over each other, time gathering speed with each bedtime and mornings brought a reminder of how quickly they were changing. Photographs were more than just a way to remember...they are a way to tell my children their own family story.
