The F Family | Stafford, VA | Maternity Photographer

Nearly four years ago, when Chris and Heather were expecting my nephew Jack, I toted my very first DSLR camera with me to their baby shower, and somehow managed to convince them to take a few pictures outside. It was obviously not golden hour and was probably 1000 degrees outside with the Virginia humidity, but for some reason they obliged.

The pictures turned out ‘pretty good’ and they asked me to take a few newborn photos of Jack once he had arrived (I’ll save those for another day on the blog) and they weren’t so bad either. The reason I tell this story is because now, almost a full four years later-I was documenting this pregnancy for them I couldn’t help but reminisce about how far we have come since then and how this family, my family, was a cornerstone for my business.

Luckily for everyone my skills and knowledge have improved a little bit, so we timed these photos appropriately and planned to take a few at their home in Stafford before we headed over to the beautiful Rockhill Plantation (which is now owned by our awesome wedding DJ-we just love Richard!) near their house to finish out their session! So excited to meet my little niece or nephew in just a few weeks!
