When I first met Julie and Devin at a Holiday party a few years ago, I had no idea how much of an impact they would have on our lives. We kept in touch but it wasn’t until just before Julie gave birth to their daughter Vera, that we reconnected and she asked me to photograph their newborn session. I often talk about how my clients turn into friends, and after spending a few hours with them at their home in Bristow, Virginia, during the session I knew we’d become great friends and since then they have become like family to us!

When Julie sent me a message sharing the news that their family was growing this summer I was over the moon for them.  Silas’s arrival was much anticipated!  From the first message, to his gender reveal and even helping them move into their new home. Being a part of this chapter of their lives and being able to help preserve our friends memories is such a blessing and I’m so grateful I’ve been able to witness their family grow and capture some sweet memories for them!
