Northern Virginia Family Photographer: A Can’t Miss Dreamy 1st Baby Photo Session

Leni’s Lifestyle Newborn Session

As a Northern Virginia family photographer, sometimes I get the extra special honor of documenting memories for some of my dearest friends. This session was such a joy, and I was over the moon to help this long-time friend of mine welcome her new baby home with a lifestyle newborn session!

Nina and I have been friends since we were nineteen years old! We met in college as sorority sisters, and our bond has been strong ever since! I’ve also known Yousef since the very beginning of their relationship, and it’s been a joy to witness them do life together. Their love has taken them all over the East Coast. They’ve ventured from dental school in Kentucky all the way to medical school in Alabama. It’s been so fun having them close now that they’re here for a residency in Virginia.

It’s wild to have friendships endure the kind of distance and ups and downs of life, but it’s so rewarding! I couldn’t be happier for them that their dream of starting a family together has finally come to fruition. Its even more fulfilling to capture them as a Northern Virginia family photographer.

In Home Newborn Session with Northern Virginia Family Photographer

I was over the moon when Nina asked me to photograph this special season for them. They opted for an in-home lifestyle session in their gorgeous Virginia home. I loved being able to photograph baby Elena (Leni for short) in her beautiful nursery.

I love that Mom and Dad chose to weave in more of the blue theme throughout their session, and I love how all of the details came together. They did an amazing job of prepping their home before their session!

Leni was such a doll during her session and made some of the best faces before falling asleep mid-session. How precious is that head full of dark hair?!

I honestly cannot wait to continue watching sweet Leni grow, and I am so excited for our little ones to be able to play together. We’ve talked about it so many times, and sharing this motherhood season with such a dear friend is absolutely priceless!
