Gender Neutral Nursery Tour | Northern VA Lifestyle Photographer
Welcome to another gender neutral nursery tour, this time with our youngest! Mark and I didn’t find out the gender of our twins, so of course we were going to keep this baby’s a surprise as well. I love the challenge to design a gender neutral nursery, but luckily we had plenty of items to reuse from the twins’ nursery.
Since Mark decided on shiplap for the twins’ nursery design, I knew I was going to get my dream of wallpaper for this baby’s room. While we designed the twins’ rooms around lambs, I knew I wanted to use a different animal for this baby. I found this wallpaper years ago and kept coming back to it, which worked perfectly since I had found a beautiful giraffe crib sheet I loved, and from there, the safari theme was born. The same shop owner who hand knitted the twins mobiles for their room created a beautiful mobile for this nursery which is one of my all time favorite pieces in the room. This nursery was a little bit less tricky since we weren’t designing the space for two babies, and therefore a few less baby items were needed! Plus, reusing old decorative pieces in this nursery saved Mark and I a lot of time and effort.
While Albert made his appearance a few weeks earlier than we had planned for, and I only got about 90% of the way through decorating his room before his arrival, it is still one of my favorite rooms in our home!
