Northern Virginia Photographer | Miles’ Lifestyle Newborn Session | Baby Number 4
As a northern Virginia photographer, getting to know this family has been a highlight. Katelyn was our wedding photographer all those years ago, and it’s been so wonderful watching both her career and family grow! She truly is a gem of a human, and it’s a treasure to call her a friend and colleague.
Baby Miles’ Newborn Session
Miles’ newborn session was the sweetest! This session is actually the third newborn session I’ve done for them in their home. I’ve had the joy of photographing their last three babies as a northern Virginia Photographer!
The most fun part of their session was seeing his older siblings love on him. They’ve had a lot of practice and are seasoned older siblings. They’ve been the biggest help to Katelyn and Micheal with their new baby brother, and they can’t get enough of him!
By now, their kiddos and I also have quite the report. Since we’ve seen so much of each other over the last few years, it takes no time for them to warm up and be their silly little selves in front of my camera.
Some of my favorite moments from this session were when they held baby Miles by themselves. I love how proud they were of him and how much they loved snuggling with him!
A Note About Heirloom Artwork
We also made sure to keep their color palette similar to previous sessions so that they all coordinate well with their chosen artwork. Part of my job as a northern Virginia photographer is to help you curate an overall look for your session. A little bit of intention and planning here goes a long way to ensure your heirloom pieces are timeless and can be enjoyed for years to come in your home.

What Mama Has To Say
“It seems sad to think this will be our last time having Emily show up, with goodies and outfits in hand at our door right after having a new baby! It feels like a family tradition to us!! Our kids love her, we love her and we cherish our first family photos as a family of SIX! How she managed to get all four children in not one but several shots looking happy and joyful is just amazing!! She is gentle, yet confident. Calm but assertive. Efficient but takes time to make everyone comfortable! This is truly her gift!!! We are forever grateful that she has been a part of our newborn experiences!!
