Northern Virginia Newborn Photography | Studio Newborn Session

After a brief hiatus, regular blog posts are back! I am so excited to share this studio newborn photography session with baby Sadie and her family. 

I absolutely loved having this family-of-five in my studio. The session was playful, loving, and fun– everything a family needs for some beautiful photography. Sadie’s older siblings were just the sweetest. Big brother was filled with laughter, and big sister was adorable. You can almost feel their sibling bond just by looking at the photos. 

Sadie was sleepy throughout the session, of course, but the moments where she opened her eyes were magical. She seemed to have an almost inquisitive expression on her little face, as if asking what exactly was going on. I love getting to capture those special newborn moments– some seem have their curiosity peaking through right away! I focus on the little details, which are so important. Their little fingers, rolls and yawns are the things you’ll want to be able to look back on as they grow up. 

The family styling for this session was classic and muted, with pops of color in mom’s beautiful floral dress. I love how elegant the colors are; it makes for such a timeless look! Sadie got to wear some different bows, and even had an outfit change of her own with her soft pink swaddle. For the older siblings and dad, we kept their outfits simple and neutral. I provide pieces for the whole family, so that if you choose to use the studio wardrobe you’ll have everything you need.
