Being a Northern Virginia Birth Photographer allows me to capture so much emotion, along with all of the little details that make up your baby’s birth story. The last few weeks of pregnancy often comes with plenty of anticipation, and welcoming your newborn baby into world does comes with great joy.

I met with Allie and Ryan to chat about their birth plans, maternity session and newborn session early on in their pregnancy (Allie is a talented motherhood photographer herself!) so I really felt as if I got to be there for each major milestone throughout their pregnancy. On the day of Michael’s birth, I was greeted at the hospital by Allie grinning from ear to ear with excitement, along with a proud daddy and her parents who all treated me as part of their family. Just a few hours later they welcomed a sweet baby boy, Michael Lockwood into their arms. Being able to witness what a blessing Michael is to their entire family and capturing their bond is something I will cherish for years to come and I’m so honored to be able to share Michael’s birth story images with you.
