Being a family photographer in Alexandria, VA, means working with some of the sweetest families in the capital city! These clients of mine are such a joy to work with, but you know it’s extra special when they’re also dear friends! It really doesn’t get any better as a motherhood photographer!
Newborn Session with Family Photographer in Alexandria, VA
Meghan is a friend of mine that I met more than eight years ago! It’s been so beautiful having her as a friend and seeing her walk through motherhood. Documenting some of the sweetest memories for her and her family along the way has been such an honor.
I’ve captured her maternity session, birth, and now her precious baby Audrey’s newborn session. Every session has been sweeter than the last as they’ve waited for their precious girl.
Since they’ve also signed up for the Baby Plan membership, I’m thrilled that we will document Audrey’s three, six, nine, and twelve month sessions over the next year. I’m so excited to see her soon for her next milestone session.
It’s also been so precious watching their oldest become the sweetest big brother to Audrey. He was so gentle and loving with her during the session and so proud of his new baby sister. I already know he will be the best big brother, and he loved snuggling her during their session.
Baby Audrey
Mom and Dad opted for an In-Home Lifestyle session to celebrate Aurdrey’s arrival. I loved getting to see her nursery and all the love and care they’ve put into decorating. Their sweet pup even snuck in for one of their family portraits.
She was the most content little one and slept for most of her session. Mama even knitted the bonnet and outfit Audrey wore for this session! We can’t imagine a more beautiful keepsake for this darling little one.

Emily and I have known each other a long time and I’ve always admired her work. When I found out I was pregnant she was the first person I reached out to. Hiring her to capture this snapshot in time was one of the best decisions I made.
Usually when we do family photos I have one or two favorites; not so with these sessions. Every image is so precious and I’m completely blown away by Emily’s talent, not only for capturing newborns but also for making pregnant folks and their families feel their best. I was a little self conscious of my body and she helped me pick dresses that complimented my curves (she even has a wonderful client wardrobe!)
