Nova Family Photographer | Meghan’s Maternity Session
As a Nova family photographer, I love when I have the opportunity to document some of my dearest friends through some really special moments.
Meghan is a long-time friend who used to be a photographer. We connected at a birth photographers meeting over eight years ago, and it’s been so fun getting to know her and her family. They waited such a long time to get pregnant with this baby girl, and capturing her maternity session (and her birth and newborn sessions) has been such a gift for me as a Nova family photographer.
For this session, they arrived at my Gainesville studio for hair and makeup for Meghan. I love this opportunity for moms to feel loved and taken care of before the blissful chaos of welcoming a new baby home kicks in. Being a Northern Virginia maternity photographer, its my goal to provide the best experience for each of my clients!
She chose two gorgeous looks for this session. The first floral dress was the perfect nod to her soon-arriving baby girl. The second look was a little bolder, and I loved that she infused more of her personality into her session. She added a red lip and looked so chic.
Why Choose a Maternity Session
Some moms are hesitant about maternity sessions, but here’s why I love them.
I know for some, pregnancy can be a bit tough. Honestly, it’s a massive change for all of us, but some of us struggle a little more with sickness and complications. Even during the hard times, our bodies are still doing something miraculous, and I love documenting this season for every one of my clients. A maternity session is a beautiful act of self-love during these seasons, and choosing to celebrate your body during this time is something none of my clients regret in the end.
