DC Area Photographer | Lifestyle Newborn Session
As a DC newborn photographer, it’s been the greatest joy having other photography friends send their dearest clients my way. There’s no greater compliment from a fellow photographer than knowing they trust me with the clients they also value so much. Having close friends in this industry is such a treasure, and getting to love on their clients in the next seasons of life is everything!
Abby Grace is one of my clients who also is a talent in the wedding photography world. She photographed this sweet couple’s wedding and sent them straight my way once they announced they were expecting.
A Lifestyle Newborn Session with DC Area Photographer
I love that they chose a lifestyle approach for their newborn session to welcome sweet baby Rory. They welcomed me into their DC area home, and we had the best time getting to know each other.
Miss Rory was the snooziest and was adamant she would spend our session taking the best nap. We even talked before their session about waiting until she was a bit older so she would be awake, but she certainly had other ideas. We pulled out all the tricks. She just couldn’t be convinced, so we embraced the snuggles with Mom and Dad.
Keeping Wardrobe Simple & Sweet
I loved the wardrobe choices for this session. Mom wore a beautiful blue floral print blouse with a classic pair of jeans. She also chose a gorgeous white gossamer dress for part of the session. Dad kept things classic with chinos and a button-down.
Rory wore the most adorable sweater with her name embroidered. It will be the sweetest keepsake when she’s older, and I love the attention to detail. She also wore the most beautiful blue sweater set with the tiniest stitched details.
I love how laid back our entire session felt (one of the perks of in-home sessions), and I can’t wait to watch this sweet girl grow!
