A few weeks ago, my brother and sister-in-law welcomed their first little girl into the world. Holland’s birth story was unique in that none of us knew if she was a boy or girl or what her name was! The last two grandchildren in our family have been boys, and girls were way outnumbered 3-1. When my brother texted me to say “come meet your new…” I responded and said I was on my way and not to tell me, and was SHOCKED when I got there and it was a girl!

It was so special to be at the hospital and witness the grandparents as they arrived and to capture their reactions! A few days later, we got the whole family together for a few portraits, and for those who have asked, Holland’s customized blanket was made by Pirates and Peonies! Here are a few of my favorites!
